- Drink plenty of water.
- Stay in air conditioning on extremely hot days.
- Never leave a human or animal in a closed parked vehicle.
- Check on elderly relatives and friends when temperatures soar.
- Avoid overexposure to the sun.
- Apply sunscreen before sun exposure and reapply as needed.
- Take plenty of rest periods/breaks while in the sun.
- Wear protective clothing and wide brimmed hats.
